Hormones are chemical substances released by the glands in the body which help in the growth, control and co-ordination of the body.
These hormones are released by either endocrine [ directly into blood stream] and others exocrine [ released into the ducts ] .

Hormones are  chemical messengers in the body that are created in the endocrine glands. These messengers control most bodily functions, from simple things  like hunger to complex systems like reproduction, and sometimes even the emotions and mood. hormones circulate the blood and come into contact with some cells which are called target cells.
