A hydrated salt (or hydrate) is a salt which has a number of water molecules associated with the ions within its crystalline structure. These water molecules maybe referred to as the waters of crystallization or water of hydration.
examples of hydrates are Glauber's salt (sodium sulfatedecahydrate, Na2SO4∙10H2O); washing soda (sodium carbonate decahydrate, Na2CO3∙10H2O); borax (sodium tetraborate decahydrate, Na2B4O7∙10H2O); the sulfates known as vitriols (e.g., Epsom salt, MgSO4∙7H2O);

◆The salts which are chemically combined with water are called hydrated salts.
◆For example-----
●NaCl.7H20
●MgCl.7H20 etc.
