HYV(high yealding verities) they grow more in size but have less amout of vitamins and minerals.They have less taste when compared to original crops or fruits.

advantages:
the hyv crops are cultivated easily in less period of time.the crops would be big in size so it can be consumed by many people.

Disadvantages :
the hyv crops are cultivated with excess amount of chemicals, so can cause health diseases. the taste is not much perfect when compared to original.
