The general definition of a salt is the product of the reaction between an acid and a base (other than water). An inorganic salt is just any salt that doesn't contain carbon (making NaCl an inorganic salt)

Salts that don't contain carbon atoms are known as inorganic salts .
For example ;)
NaCl (sodium chloride ), KCl (potassium chloride) , BaCl2 (barium chloride).
