!!!

we divided all objects in basically two parts. that is,

⇒ insulators

⇒ conductors

insulators - these are the objects which don't allow electric or heat current to pass through them.

conductors - these are the objects which allow electric and heat current to pass through them.

now some examples of insulators :-

>> plastic

>> glass

>> dry wood

>> cloth

>> paper

>> rubber etc..

Insulators:-

  • Insulators are materials that prevent electrons from freely flowing from molecule to molecule as well as atom to atom.
  • If an excessive charge gets delivered to an insulator at a specific place, the excessive charge should remain at the original charging point.
  • Insulator particles do not allow electrons to move freely, the charge is rarely spread evenly across surfaces of an insulator.
  • Examples:
  1. Plastics,
  2. Paper,
  3. Rubber.
