The numbers which satisfy the value of a polynomial are called its roots. The roots which are integers i.e not irrational or imaginary are called integral roots.
Example-
x² - 3x + 2
(x - 1)(x - 2) = 0
The Integral Roots would be x = 1 and 2.
Rational root-
A rational root of a function is a rational number which satisfies the function equal to zero.
Example-
12 x – 7 x – 10 = (3 x + 2)(4 x – 5) .
Setting the two factors equal to zero, you get two roots at rational roots as x = –
/ and x = / .
