involuntary muscle - a muscle that contracts without conscious control and found in walls of internal organs such as stomach and intestine and bladder and blood vessels (excluding the heart) smooth muscle.
These muscles are not under voluntary control of oneself.
The Autonomous nervous system controls these muscles according to the needs of the body.
The muscles of the heart are also involuntary but it comes under the category of cardiac muscles.
