the compounds which has same molecular formula but different structure are called isomers.

isomers are compounds having same molecular formula but different structural formula or different arrangement of atoms and the phenomenon is known as isomerism.
carbon compounds shows a wide range of isomers.
Eg -
n-pentane , iso - pentane , neo pentane
