what are isomers? short defination

Anonymous: hii
Anonymous: In chemistry isomer is defined as two or more compounds with the same formula but a different arrangement of molecules and different properties.

Isomers are divided into 2 broad categories-

Constitutional isomers are compounds where the atoms are connected or bonded differently.
Anonymous: Steroisomers are compounds that differ because of orientation in space.

If we talk about the definition in physics so that is like this : Two or more atomic nuclei that have the same atomic number and the same mass number but different energy states.
