Isotopes are elements that have same atomic number but different mass.

They have same atomic number due to the same number of protons but different number of neutrons which changes their mass number.

They have same chemical properties (because they have same number of protons and neutrons) but different physical property (because they don't have same mass number)

Examples of Isotopes are :- Protium, Deuterium, Tritium.

Protium, deuterium and tritium are the isotopes of Hydrogen having number of proton = atomic number = 1.

But Protium has 0 neutrons, thus mass number = 1 u.

Deuterium has 1 neutrons, constituting mass number as 2 u.

Tritium has 2 neutrons making the mass number as 3 u.
