Isotopes are elements having the same atomic number but different mass numbers. They are widely used for making treatment of deadly diseases like cancer. Eg, hydrogen and oxygen.

Isobars are elements having the same atomic mass but different atomic numbers. They have different number of protons in the nuclei of their atoms. Eg, argon and calcium.
