1. Isotopes :

  • These are atoms of a given element which have same atomic number but different mass number.

Eg:- _6^{12}C,\: _6^{13}C, _6^{14}C

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

2. Isobars:

  • These are atoms of elements which have the same mass number and different atomic number.

Eg:- _1^{3}H, \: _2^{3}He

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

3.Isosters:

  • They are molecules which have same number of electrons and atoms.

Eg:- CO_{2}, {N}_{2}O

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Isotones:

  • These are also known as Isoneutronic species or Isotonic.

  • They are atoms of different elements which have same number of neutrons.

Eg:- _{19}^{39}K, \: _{20}^{40}Ca,

Here, K has 20 neutrons and Ca also has 20 neutrons.

Isodiaphers:

  • They are atoms of different element which have the same difference of number of neutrons and protons.

Eg:- _5^{11}B,\: _6^{13}C
