ISOTOPES ARE THE ELEMENTS WITH SAME ATOMIC NO. BUT DIFFERENT ATOMIC MASS..

CHARACTERISTICS.

they have different numbers of neutrons, this affects the mass number. Mass number determines the physical properties such as boiling/melting/density etc. They have similar chemical properties because isotopes of an element have the same number of electrons as an atom of that element.

TWO ISOTOPES OF HYDEROGEN IS

  1. protium
  2. deuterium
