2nd part :- because dalton said all atoms of given element are identical and have same mass size and chemical properties.

eg. cl has two isotopes having masses 35 & 37 .

According to Dalton, the atoms of same element are similar in all respects. However, isotopes of some elements vary in their masses and densities. Therefore it contradicts Dalton atomic theory.
