- The place inside the body where two or more bones meet is known as joints.
Types of joints :
- The joints which do not allow any movement are called as Immovable joints, for example, joints in the skull.

- The joints which allow only a slight movement like bending and rotation are called slightly movable joints. These joints are present between the vertebrae of the backbone and ribs and the breast bone.
