Leguminous plants are those which belongs to family Fabaceae of the flowering plants whereas non-leguminous plants are those which do not belongs to the family Fabaceae. The examples of leguminous plants include chickpea, groundnut, pea, pigeon pea, soyabean, sissoo, sun hemp and tamarind whereas the examples of non-leguminous plants include barley, banana, coriander, guava, mango, mustard, oat, rice and wheat.
