What are lens? Who many types of lens? plz explain me.

lens are tranparent materials whose at least one side is spherical.
now if u ask its type it can be of diffrent types
for ex if one side is plane and one is concave we call it plano concavo
for plane and convex we use plano convexo
and by taking spherical side same if u change other with different figures its name will also change in same manner
