Lenticels are found on the stem or trunk of plants . In short, lenticels are a type of pore. They serve as a site of gas exchange on the plant
Lenticels are also, unfortunately, a site where pathogens such as fungi, bacteria, and viruses can enter the plant.

Lenticels are small pores found on old stems of plants. They never close like stomata.
They help in respiration in plants.During respiration gaseous excahnge takes place frem here also....i.e.,intake of O∨2 and releasing of CO∨2 during night.
