lenticels are the openings found on the bark of the woods.


it helps in gaseous exchange
it also helps in transpiration known as lenticular respiration

Lentices--> It is a porous tissue consisting of cells with large intercellular spaces in periderm of secondarily thickined organs,bark of woody stem and roots of dicotyledonous flowering plant.
Functions:
Acts as pore,provides a pathway for direct exchange of gases between the internal tissues and atmosphere through the bark.
It is impermeable to gas.
