Lymphocytes are a type of WBCs (white blood cells) that are phagocytic in nature.They are produced from lymphoid progenitor cells of haematopoietic stem cells.

Lymphocytes are of two types: Small (6-8 micron in diameter) and Large (10-12 micron in diameter)

Lymphocytes constitute about 50 percent of WBCs in Human.

lymphocytes are a type of white blood cells that function as part of the immune system. Their various functions allow them to properly respond to foreign invader in the body.Some lymphocytes work alone while other are able to coordinate with other cell.
There are three types of lymphocytes
➡️known as T cells
➡️B cells
➡️natural killer cells

T cells get their name becoz they developed in thymus gland.
