what are lysosomes how are they formed give their function

Lysosome are formed by golgi apparatus. They are known as suicide bags,scavangers,sweepers of the cell because of their main function of waste disposal in a cell. Whenever there is a disturbance in the metabolism inside a cell,the lysosomes burst and thus digest the whole cell i.e why they are known as the suicide bags of the cell.
