M. Hamel told them that French was the most beautiful language in the world. It was the clearest and the most logical language. He asked them to guard it among them and never _ forget it. He gave a reason also. When a people were enslaved, as long as they held fast to their language, they had the key to their prison.

On the day of the last lesson ,he went on to eulogise the language and emphasised on the need of his preservation.he said french is the most beautiful language in the world ,coherent and well organised,and easy to understand because of its clarity and distinctness.He appealed to all the people to take utmost care to preserve their language since that will be the only platform where people can stand united .
