Mast cells :Fibroblasts are responsible for the synthesis and the degradation of fibrous and non fibrous connective tissue matrix proteins. Macrophages are phagocytic; they process and present antigen to immunocompetent lymphoid Macrophages are specialised cells involved in the detection, phagocytosis and destruction of bacteria and other harmful organisms. In addition, they can also present antigens to T cells and initiate inflammation by cells. Mast cells are responsible for IgE mediated acute, subacute and chronic inflammation.
