What are magnetic field lines?? Write their properties.

hey mate...here's ur answer
The properties of magnetic field lines are as follows :-

(i) They are closed continuous curves

(ii) They behave like stretched elastic rubber strings

(iii) They contract laterally

(iv) They do not intersect one another because in that case there would be two directions of resultant magnetic force at a given point, which is not possible.

(v) They are directed from north to south pole outside the magnet and south to north pole within the magnet.

a magnetic field line is a smooth curve around of magnet such that the tangent at any point on it gives the direction of magnetic field at that point ...
properties are...
1... the tangent drawn on a magnetic field line at any point gives the direction of magnetic field at that point
2..no two magnetic field lines can ever intersect each other at a point
