What are magnetic keepers :- A magnetic keeper is a piece of wood or soft iron which is used in storing magnets because bar magnets get demagnetised when the poles are left free for a long time.

Name it's material :- Materials that can be magnetized, which are also the ones that are strongly attracted to a magnet, are called ferromagnetic (or ferrimagnetic).

A magnetic keepers , also known historically as an armature, is a bar made from magnetically soft iron or steel, which is placed across the poles of a permanent magnet to help preserve the strength of the magnet by completing the magnetic circuit. Example-A wooden piece is kept between the magnets and at each end a piece of soft iron is kept which acts as a magnetic keeper.
