Magnetic lines of force indicate the direction along with which a hypothetical north pole would tend to move

They don't cross each other

They're most crowded at the poles

They move from north pole to south pole outside the magnet and south pole to north pole inside the magnet hence they're closed curves

The surroundings of theagnet from where the magnetic field can be felt is called magnetic lines of force.

The properties are

1. The line are closed curves

2. They do not intersect at any point.

3. They are crowded near the poles and are far apart in the centre.

4. They run from north to south ouside magnet and south to north inside magnet.
