Malleability :-

  • The ability of metal that can be beaten into thin sheets is called malleability. Malleability and temperature are directly proportional. Malleability increases with an increase in temperature.

Ductility :-

  • It is the property of a metal that can be drawn into wire. Ductility and temperature are inversely proportional. The ductility of the metals decreases as the temperature increases because metals become weak at high temperature.

Examples:-

  • Examples of malleable metals are gold, iron, aluminum, copper, silver, and lead.

  • Copper, aluminum, and steel are examples of ductile metals.
