Mangroves are that type of trees which directly grow on the river bed.. In some cases they dont need Soil to grow because they just grow underwater on the sand surface.. And when they grow enough.. They Pop out of the Water to pursue the sunlight
For example, if you have visited any Beach.. At the far end of beach there are Mangroves, they look like they are growing on land but no! Its tricky.. And Usually they grow together and form a Thick bush.. And they usually grow in Sandy Marshy lands

mangrove is a shrub or small tree that grows in coastal saline or brackish water
