1). Sum of the deviations taken from the arithmetic mean is zero
2). If each observation is increased by 'k' then the mean of the new observation is the original mean increased by 'k'
3). If each observation is decreased by 'k', then the mean of the new observation is original mean decreased by 'k'
4). If each observation is multiplied by 'k', 'k' is not equal to zero, then the mean of the new observation is the original mean multiplied by 'k'
5). If each observation is divided by 'k', 'k' is not equal to zero, then the mean of new observation is the original mean divided by 'k'
