plants keep growing till they due, because they have tissue meant only for growth, called meristematic tissue

\bigstar\large\rm{MERISMATIC\:TISSUE}\bigstar

  • Merismatic tissue are present only in the growimg part of the plant.In plant only few parts grow.These tissues only meant for growing.

There are three types of Merismatic Tissue-

  • Apical Tissue- They are present in the growing Tip of the Stem and root which increase their height and length.

  • Lateral Tissue- They are present in the girt of the stem and root.

  • Intercalary tissue- They are present in th node of the plant.

Once, Merismatic Tissue loose his ability to Cell division it becomes Permanent tissue.

Permanent tissue are classified into two types-

  • Simple permanent tissue.

  • Complex premanent tisssue.

Three Types simple permanent tissue:-

  • Parenchyma- It is mose common Simple permanent tissue.It has living cell.

  • Collenchyma- It provide flexibility to the plant.It has living cell

  • Scellenchyma-It provide strength to the cell.It has Dead cell

There are two types of Complex permanent tissue.

  • Xylem Tissue.

  • Phloem Tissue.
