Dividing tissues are known as meristematic tissues
There are 3 types of tissues

1: apical meristem ( present in growing tips of roots and stems and increases the length of roots and stems)

2: lateral meristem ( The girth of the stem or root increases due to lateral meristem)

3: intercalary meristem ( it is located near the nodes)

Cells of meristematic tissues are very active they have dense cytoplasm thin cellulose walls and prominent nuclei they lack vacuoles
