Hello friend,
◆ Metal carbonyls -
- Co-ordination complexes of transition metals with carbon monoxide ligands are termed as metal carbonyls.
- These metal carbonyls are poor conductors of electricity & sublimate at lower temperature.
◆ Role of CO in metal carbonyls -
- Carbonyl compounds can release CO during heating.
- This CO can be used as catalyst for reduction of minerals during metal extraction.
Hope this helped you. Thanks for asking..
