What are metalloids? please tell in brief.

A metalloid is any chemical element which has properties in between metals and non-metals.Example- Arsenic have visual appearance of metal but is poor conductor of electricity.
Examples of metalloid are Boron, Silicon, germanium, Arsenic, Antimony, Tellurium, Polonium.
