Defination:-

The essential elements which are required relatively in minute amount (0.01 gm per day) and, are necessary for normal growth, food production and for the immune system of the body are called micro nutrients or trace nutrients.

Examples:-

Boron (B), Molybdenum (Mo), Copper (Cu), Zinc (Zn), Manganese (Mn), Cobalt (Co), Iodine (I), Cromium (Cr), Iron (Fe), etc.
