Microorganisms are tiny microscopic living organisms which may be single celled (like amoeba) or can live in colonies.
Microorganisms were first discovered by Antonie van Leeuwenhoek.
microorganisms can be classified into 4 types:
1. bacteria- eg:  Lactobacillus
2. virus- like chicken pox virus, measles virus
3. algae
4. protozoa

Microorganisms are microscopic organisms which may exists in its single celled form or in a colony of cells .Microorganisms include all unicellular organisms and so are extremely diverse. Or in other words it is a living thing that is too small to be seen with the naked eye.

Example :bacteria , protozoa , or even fungi , virus.
