QUESTION ➡How do they occur?
➡They are usually formed when minerals in liquid/molten and gaseous forms are forced upwards through cavities towards the earth's surface. In these rocks, minerals occur in beds or layers. Coal, iron ore, gypsum, potash salt and sodium salt are the minerals found in sedimentary rocks.

A proper mineral is generally an inorganic solid chemical compound which is formed naturally in the underground mine areas.

As said in the definition, the minerals are formed naturally in a controlled environment which consists different natural factors like temperature, pressure and other circumstances in a controlled manner.

A significant amount of time is necessary for this natural formation of the minerals.
