Mineral is naturally occurring chemical compound, usually they are present in crystalline form.A mineral has specific chemical composition whereas a rock can be an aggregate of different minerals.

Five uses of minerals are:

1. Minerals like iron are used for constructing purpose.

2. Minerals like aluminium are used in making body of aeroplane etc.

3. Minerals like gold are used to make jewellery,coins etc.

4.Minerals like copper are used in making electric wires,coins, jewellery etc.

5. Minerals like lead is used in making batteries, ammunition etc.
