A mixture is a substance made by combining two or more different materials in such a way that no chemical reaction occurs. A mixture can usually be separated back into its original components. Some examples of mixtures are a tossed salad, salt water and a mixed bag of M&M's candy.

in chemistry,when two or more substances mix with each other,it results in the formation of mixture.the result formed due to the combination of substances does not lose its individually nor they are combined chemically.

there are two types of mixtures:

1)heterogenous: heterogeneous mixture cannot blend smoothly.indivitual substance can be seen.

2) homogeneous: homogeneous mixture is a mixture in which the composition is uniform throughout the mixture. The salt water described above is homogeneous because the dissolved salt is evenly distributed throughout the entire salt water sample.
