Basicity of an acid is the number of hydronium ions formed by one molecule of the acid in its aq. solution.
Monobasic acids- They are acids which produce one hydronium ion per molecule when dissolved in water. Eg: hcl
Dibasic acids- They are acids which produce two hydronium ions per molecule when dissolved in water. Eg: H2SO4
Tribasic acids- they are acids which cam produce three hydronium ions per molecule when dissolve in water. Eg: H3PO4
