Multiple echoes are arised due to the multiple reflection of sound. Reflection is the bouncing back of sound when it strikes a hard surface.
Applications:
1-A curved soundboard kept behind the speaker on the stage of a big hall reflects sound waves towards the audience sitting in the hall.
2- The curved ceiling of a concert hall reflects sound waves down onto the audience sitting in the hall.
