what are "n", "iso" and "neo" etc in nomenclature of organic compounds for? please give examples too.

→"n" represents normal hydrocarbon.When we do nomenclature and if it's a straight chain without any branching in it then we "n" with it.
For example :- C3H8 ( CH3 -- CH2 -- CH3 ) ; it's name is n - Propane.
→"iso" is used when there is branching on the C2 - atom that too only at one place.
For example :- C4H10 ( CH3 -- CH2 -- CH3 )

→"neo" is used when 2 Carbons are attached on the C2 carbon.
