What are needs to shift the crops to which requires less amount of water?

The problem is the shifting cultivation. Shifting cultivation is basically an agricultural system to which a person uses a piece of land and only abandon the land or alter the initial use a short time later and later on uses the land. This system involves clearing out of the piece of the land and cultivation of woods and bamboo on the soil untill the soil loses the nutrients in it and becomes unfit for use.

Many places in the world and the country are dry, and cultivation is of crops become very difficult unless the patterns of growing the crops are changed.


One needs to cultivate crops that require less water and should shift from traditional crops like the rice which requires much water.  


Beans and legumes are perfect for cultivating in the areas where there is less water in the whole zone.
