Nephrons are the basic unit of the excretory system in humans.

It mainly consists of two parts, the Malphigian Body (Bowman’s Capsule & Glomerulus) and Renal Tubules (PCT, Loop of Henle and DCT). It’s main function is to filter the blood and remove unwanted water, minerals and nitrogenous wastes.
