Neurotransmitters are chemical messengers which are endogenous and are released from neurons act on receptor sites and produce a change in target cells
they transmits signals from one neuron to other across synapses to produce an effect on receptor cells
Ex:-Acetylcholine,dopamine,GABA...etc
