A Neuteralization reaction is a reaction in which acid react with base to form salt and water.
It is called neutralization because it neutralizes the acid and base.
NaOH+HCl------>NaCl+H2O

Example of Neutralization Reaction:-

(1) NaOH (base)+ HCl (acid)--> NaCl (salt)+ H2O (water)

(2) During indigestion:-

Mg(OH)2 + 2HCl --> MgCl2 + 2H2O
