Animals which are active during the night period when everyone are sleeping are called Nocturnals .They have good sense of smell and hearing .They have good eye sight that they can see clearly in the dark too. Some nocturnals like Bats emit a high pitch sound to find prey or protect themselves from predators .

Cats, Rats, Bats, owls are the nocturnals generally seen in our surroundings. Desert animals adopt being nocturnal to escape from extremely critical hot conditions.
