Most non-renewable energy sources are fossil fuels: coal, petroleum, and natural gas.

Explanation:

Energy sources that have persisted in nature for a really long time, and can not be easily replaced when exhausted are considered non-renewable energy  sources .

The 2 examples of energy sources which are not renewable are:

  1. Fossil fuels (petroleum, coails and natural gas) :- They were developed from the remnants of living organisms millions of years ago, and released heat energy when burned.They are not regenerative. They store chemical energy inside them.
  1. Nuclear fuels (such as uranium) :- nuclear fuels produce energy not through chemical reactions, but through nuclear reactions. Uranium and plutonium are the primary nuclear fuels
