notochord is a dorsal hollow nerve cord which is present in homo sapiens .....if animal is having notochord then it is characterized into phylum chordata..if notochord is present only in larval tail then they are characterized into urochordata but if the notochord extends from head to tail then they are Characterized into cephalochordata and if it is modified into vertebral column then they are called vertebrates.
