The protons and neutrons present in nucleus are called nucleons.
There are 31 nucleons present in a single phosphorus atom..

Nucleons is the number of Protons and Neutrons present in the nucleus of any atom.
Atomic number of phosphorus =15
So, Protons = 15
Mass number = 31
So, Neutrons =31-15=16
Hence, nucleons in phosphorus =15+16=31
