What are oil wells ? Why are they constructed ?

Answer: Oil wells are the artificially made wells or shaft in rock from which mineral oil is drawn. They constructed because we need crude oil which we cannot get without drilling the oil wells. Petroleum is extracted out by drilling holes (oil wells) into the earth's crust.
